A Jeweler's Trick To Remove A Ring Stuck With A Thread.
Is your ring stuck on your finger and you can't remove it?
It happens when you have swollen fingers or during pregnancy.
But wait before cutting your ring with pliers or going to the emergency room!
A jeweler entrusted me with a tsuper effective ruc to easily remove a ring that is too small or stuck.
To remove a ring that is too tight, the trick is to use a thread. Look :
How to do
1. Take a thin thread and make a loop.
2. Slide the loop under the ring towards the nail.
3. Pull on both ends of the wire to adjust it. The loop is on one side of the ring (nail side) and both ends of the wire on the other side (hand side).
4. Insert a thicker thread through the loop.
5. Gently pull on the ends of the thin thread to pass the loop with the thick thread under the ring. The thick wire will thus slide under the ring.
6. Continue to pull: the thick thread is now passed under the ring. You can then remove the fine wire.
7. Take the longer end (nail side) of the thick wire and wrap it around your finger up to the nail.
8. Now grasp the other end of the thick wire and unwind it towards the nail, passing under the finger and then above.
9. Continue to pull gently on the thread while unwinding it until the ring is removed.
Results
And there you have it, you have finally removed your stuck ring easily :-)
Easy, fast and efficient, isn't it?
And no need for a plastic bag or worse to cut your precious ring!
It's still easier to get the ring out!
Additional advice
The most difficult thing is to pass the fine thread between the ring and the finger without hurting yourself.
For this, you can take a wire that is a little stiff like fishing line.
And you can also use a needle to slide the thread under the ring.
Why does it work?
Pulling the thread while unwinding it will slide the ring.
The ring thus slides to the end of the finger effortlessly.
