How to Clean a Bagless Vacuum in 8 Super Easy Steps.

Do you also have a bagless vacuum cleaner at home?

It is true that these vacuum cleaners are very practical ...

... because no more need to replace or buy bags every four mornings.

Plus, these bagless vacuums are super easy to empty!

The only problem is that we don't really know how clean this type of vacuum cleaner !

But don't worry, it's quick and easy!

In addition, thanks to this cleaning, your vacuum cleaner will suck even better than before!

here is how to clean a bagless vacuum in 8 easy steps :

What you need

Use alcohol and cotton wool to clean your bagless vacuum.

- 1 garbage bag

- scissors or seam ripper

- cotton discs

- 70 ° alcohol

- 1 microfiber cloth or kitchen roll

Step 1: empty the dust bin

Here's how to empty the dust container of your bagless vacuum cleaner.

Press the cover and remove the dust container. Empty the dust container into the garbage bag.

Pro tip: so as not to get it everywhere when you empty the dust bin, I advise you to go outside or in your garage. If these photos were taken indoors, it was raining that day :-)

Step 2: Take apart everything that can be taken apart!

To clean your vacuum cleaner without a bag, you must remove the dust container.

Disassemble the parts of the central part of the dust container. For the curious, it's called a cyclonic separator. Then clean all the parts under running water.

Important: let all the parts of the cyclone separator dry before putting them back into the device.

Step 3: Cut the tangled hair

Use a seam ripper to remove tangled hair in the brush.

Use the seam ripper to carefully trim hair, pieces of string, and other messy dirt around the roller or under your vacuum brush.

You don't have a seam ripper? You can also use simple scissors. But be careful, do not scratch your beautiful vacuum cleaner!

Step 4: disinfect the underside of the brush

Disinfect the brush of your bagless vacuum cleaner with 70 ° alcohol.

Using a piece of cotton soaked in 70 ° alcohol, rub the underside of the brush. The alcohol will dry up quickly and disinfect your vacuum cleaner.

Does this step seem unnecessary to you? Know that the brush is from afar the dirtiest part of the vacuum cleaner! Of course, without taking into account the dirt inside the dust container.

This is because the underside of the vacuum comes in contact with ALL surfaces in the house, including the kitchen, bathroom and toilet.

And then, we meticulously drag this same brush in our bedrooms, in the living room, etc. Yuck!

This is why it is important to remember to disinfect the underside of your vacuum cleaner brush.

Step 5: wash the dust bin

Use a micro-fiber cloth to clean the dust container of your bagless vacuum cleaner.

Clean the dust container under running water in your sink, taking care to clean the rubber seals well.

Important: Allow the dust container to dry completely before putting it back into the vacuum cleaner.

Step 6: wipe down the entire exterior

Using the moistened microfiber cloth, wipe all the exterior parts of your vacuum cleaner.

For even more efficiency, you can add a little of this multi-purpose cleaner to the cloth.

Step 7: clean the filters

In your sink, clean the filters of your vacuum cleaner under running water, following scrupulously the manufacturer's instructions for use.

On most bagless vacuum models, the filters can be easily removed and then rinsed with water.

All you have to do is let the filters air dry.

Important: wait until the filters are totally dry before putting them back on your vacuum cleaner. This is because if the filters are still wet, they can develop mold inside your vacuum cleaner.

Step 8: Clean Up Scuffs

Use 70% alcohol to clean scuff marks on your bagless vacuum.

Over time, small traces may appear on the plastic of vacuum cleaners ... Here is THE little extra touch to keep your vacuum cleaner as clean as new :-)

The trick to quickly removing these types of scratches is to clean them with a cotton ball moistened with 70 ° alcohol.

Convenient if you want to refresh your vacuum cleaner to resell it in a garage sale!

- Be aware that the alcohol-soaked cotton trick also works on car bodies. To remove a scratch on the paint, put a little 70 ° alcohol on a piece of cotton. Rub lightly and the scratch will disappear before your eyes. But beware, this trick only works on small scratches, not on scratches that have damaged the paint.

Where can I find a bagless vacuum cleaner?

The advantage of bagless vacuums is that they are easy to clean.

As you can see in the photos above, I use a Kärcher bagless vacuum cleaner. It is powerful, manoeuvrable and silent. Short, I love it !

And thanks to its multi-cyclonic technology, you never have to replace the bag again!

This means more simplicity ... and more savings :-)

The little extra? Is that I found him for really not expensive on the site backmarket.fr, a site which sells devices refurbished to nine by professionals.
