A Friendly Recipe Truly inexpensive, the Tartiflette.

When winter arrives, I like to cook hearty and nutritious hot dishes.

The tartiflette is one of those friendly and inexpensive dishes that I particularly like.

Easy to prepare, this Savoyard recipe is always enjoyed with the same pleasure with friends or family for the greatest pleasure of all.

Ingredients

- 1.5 kg of potatoes

- 1 reblochon

- 200 g of plain bacon

- 20 cl of fresh cream

- 2 onions

- 25 cl of white wine from Savoy

- Olive oil

- Salt pepper

How to do

1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into large cubes.

2. Immerse them in a large pot of salted water that you bring to a boil. Leave to cook for 15 to 20 minutes (they are cooked when, by pricking them with the blade of a knife, it is easily planted inside).

3. Preheat the oven to 200 °.

4. Peel and slice the onions and sweat them for 5 minutes in a pan with a drizzle of olive oil.

5. Add the bacon and cook over medium heat for 5 min.

6. Pour the diced potatoes into the pan and cook the preparation for 10 minutes over high heat.

7. Add the white wine and cook over low heat for 3 minutes. Add salt and pepper.

8. Pour the preparation into a gratin dish and cover with crème fraîche.

9. Cut the reblochon in half, lengthwise and place it rind side out.

10. Bake the dish for 20 to 25 minutes, the reblochon should be runny and lightly browned.

Serve the tartiflette hot

Serve immediately and accompany the tartiflette with a green salad.

What type of potatoes to choose for making a tartiflette?

You can use many types of potatoes. However, avoid those intended for fries and purees, such as bintje.

Opt for potatoes with firm flesh for better cooking performance (such as amandine, charlotte Where beautiful of fontenay).
