1. A dry and natural shampoo: talc

But beware, do not apply it just any way:

1. Take a good dose of talcum powder and rub it into your hands until they turn pale. They should not be all white because you will put too much talc on your cat.

2. Take your cat, whom you will stroke gently in the direction of the fur, and if you can, in the opposite direction. Pet it all over, being careful not to never leave visible white marks which would mean that there is too much talc (your cat, while washing himself, may swallow dangerous doses).

2. Aleppo soap, another natural alternative

Warning ! As much as the talc method can be used without moderation, the Aleppo soap method is use with LOTS of moderation. Why ?

Because cats don't have the same pH as us, and their skin is much more sensitive. This is why soaps and shower gel for humans irritate their skin. And although Aleppo soap is very natural, it should not be used too much on a cat. But in troubleshooting, it works very well!

However, be careful to take an all-natural Aleppo soap, composed of oils, like this one.

Here's how to do it:

1. Flow from hot water in your sink and immerse your cat in it, always avoiding getting his head wet.

2. Wet your cat completely (except the head), and apply soap all over, rubbing gently.

3. Rinse WELL WELL so that no soap remains on your cat at all. If the sink is not enough, use the shower that you will run hot enough, but not too strong.

4. Wrap your cat in a towel to absorb as much moisture as possible, then rub gently to dry it.

5. Wrap it in a second towel and keep it against you in a warm place (under the duvet for example) for it. to reassure.

6. Once it is less humid and less stressed, let it frolic, it will shake, lick and dry itself in its corner.

Bonus: to wash a cat who is not used to it, it is better to be two, and wear long-sleeved clothes!
