3 Tips for Keeping a Cut Onion Without Stimulating My Fridge.

The onion is undoubtedly the master of my daily cooking.

If I cook it all over the place, sometimes I stay with chopped chunks of onions that invade and stink my fridge.

Its conservation, once it is cut, is not ideal because it wilts and softens quickly ...

To keep it as well as possible, I entrust you with my 3 tips.

how to store an onion in the fridge

1. I use aluminum foil

Very simple and very effective tip, I wrap my chopped onion pieces in aluminum foil, and presto, go to the vegetable drawer of my fridge!

The ideal is to add a small piece of butter.

I can keep them that way for a week without a bad smell as soon as I open my fridge door.

2. I freeze

I cut my peeled onion into rings or dice and place it in a special freezer plastic bag.

I will be able to pick at my convenience the quantities I want to decorate and flavor my dishes.

3. I choose them from different sizes

When I shop, I buy onions of different sizes. So, depending on the dish I'm cooking and the amount of onions needed for my recipe, I use smaller or larger onions.

Clever, I avoid any waste!
