Very Damaged Feet: How To Treat Them At Least Cost?

We all have, at one time or another, callused, cracked, dry feet.

We may be a little careful, sometimes we are careless and the problem gets worse!

So, when it comes to cracks, we have to go to the plan of attack to treat our feet at a lower cost!

dry feet home care

My feet are like the rest of my body: they need to be beautiful and hydrated!

I take care to remember to pamper them on a daily basis, to avoid having cracks or calluses which would make me suffer and which would be, moreover, unsightly.

In winter, our entire skin tells us: it dries up, it hurts more. If I don't pay attention, my feet get damaged, the calluses turn into crevices, and it's very painful!

Before having to pay a visit to the pedicure-podiatrist, I take my feet ... in hand !!

And I follow the advice given to me by a podiatrist I met a few winters ago ... I assure you that it works very well for me!

1. Pumice stone

I don't hesitate to invest in a pumice stone. It's really cheap, very useful, and in principle it lasts a very long time.

In the shower, with a wet stone, I rub my feet gently, in a circular fashion, insisting on the hardest parts, such as the heels for example. I rinse well, I dry gently.

I insist: the most important is hydration. I don't rub my feet so hard that it hurts.

2. Exfoliation and mask

I do not hesitate, even after pumice stone, to perform an appropriate exfoliation, in winter as much as in summer, and based on oils (sweet almond, olive) or shea butter. Mine, I do it this way:

- 2 tablespoons of coarse salt (€ 0.18)

- 2 tablespoons of sugar (€ 0.30)

- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (€ 0.45)

- 1 tablespoon of olive oil (€ 0.04)

Price of a scrub: less than 1 €!

But as a basic treatment, I also do ... masks!

Yes, my feet are like my face, they deserve the same care! If I do my scrub in the evening, I spend the night with a mask composed only of normal soft butter softened on my feet, enclosed in soft socks ...

3. Rehydration

Instead of the mask, I can apply a homemade balm made up of:

- 4 tablespoons of argan oil (or olive oil): € 0.15 for olive oil to € 1.50 for argan oil

- 1 tablespoon of honey at € 0.20

- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (or a drop of lemon essential oil) at € 0.45

Or a balm for around € 2!

I apply by massaging lightly, and I keep an hour or all night, before a lukewarm rinse. I also use this balm for my knees, elbows, hands.

Finally, I take care of my feet all winter and all summer, additionally applying a foot cream, if necessary, every morning.

Honestly, some years it's not luxury! Long-lasting hydration is worth all other treatments combined!

Your turn...

I summarize: I sand, I erase, I massage, I hydrate, I maintain! And you, what do you do ? Are you going to tell me in the comments?
