Use a Water Bottle in the Toilet to Save Water.
Did you know that you can save toilet water?
And this, very easily!
You don't even have to buy a dual-flow flush!
To decrease the flow of the flush, just use a plastic bottle. Yes, yes, a simple bottle filled with water is enough.
And to install it, nothing could be simpler. Look :
How to do
1. Take an old plastic bottle.
2. Fill it with water.
3. Close the bottle with its stopper.
4. Open the toilet water tank.
5. Place the bottle in the toilet tank.
6. Close the toilet water tank.
Results
There you go, with just a bottle of water, you save hundreds of liters of water every month :-)
Easy and economical, isn't it?
The toilets are the biggest water devourers in the house!
With a full bottle of water in my toilet tank, I save 1.5 liters of water each time I use it.
My water consumption decreases every time I go to the bathroom. It's a smart and easy trick to lower my water bills.
Additional advice
When I put the filled water bottle in the toilet tank, I am careful not to place it at the level of the flush mechanism.
Why ? Otherwise you risk blocking the evacuation system.
It is also not recommended to place a brick in place of the bottle.
A brick tends to fall apart in water and can end up blocking pipes.
