Here's How To Easily Clean An Oxidized Car Battery.
Are your car battery terminals oxidized, clogged or overloaded with deposits?
Clean them now.
Oxidation and corrosion of the battery can prevent your car from starting.
Instead of going to buy an expensive off-the-shelf product (or worse, going to a mechanic), use baking soda.
How to do
1. Disassemble the terminals and remove the cables starting with the negative terminal (indicated by a "-") then positive (indicated by a "+"). Do the reverse when reassembling.
2. Then scrape off the pods to remove the larger one.
3. Then, scrub with a toothbrush with a mixture of water and baking soda.
4. Do not rinse, because the battery does not like water! Wipe thoroughly with a dry cloth before putting everything back in place.
Results
And there you have it, your battery is now nickel :-)
The pods are perfectly clean. No need to go to the garage or change the battery!

Bonus tip
To extend the life of this baking soda clean, put grease or petroleum jelly on the pods.
