Simple tips for cleaning dirty and yellowed Tupperware

1. Bicarbonate

Take a basin. Dilute 4 tablespoons of baking soda in 1 liter of lukewarm water and mix.

Soak your dirty boxes in the basin for about 30 minutes. This cleaning will eliminate odors but also encrusted stains (tomato stain for example).

2. Baking soda + white vinegar

Mix 1/4 cup of baking soda and 1/4 cup of white vinegar. Pour this mixture directly into the Tupperware to be cleaned and let it foam for a moment.

Take an abrasive sponge and scrub the bottom of the scrub box. Add a little water to the can and leave to act overnight. Rinse the next day.

Vinegar helps remove grease and removes stubborn odors even better.

3. Baking soda + freezer

If your box has stubborn stains, put a spoonful of baking soda in the bottom and fill it with water. Close the lid and put everything in the freezer.

Once the mixture is frozen, remove the can from the freezer and invert it. Peel off the layer of ice which should remove with it all the grime and stains encrusted in the box.

Warning : never expose your Tupperware to heat (very hot water, microwave, too hot dish). This is because the plastic can deteriorate and the pores of the plastic can expand and let in grease and odors.
