Don't Throw Oyster Shells Any More! Feed them to your chickens.

I don't know about you but I love oysters!

Especially since they have lots of health benefits.

The only problem is that it makes a big pile of garbage after eating them ...

You also don't know what to do with oyster shells?

Fortunately, my grandfather revealed to me a great trick to recycle them easily and usefully in the henhouse.

The trick is to Reduce them to powder to feed them to your chickens. Look :

Hen eating oyster shell powder

What you need

- oyster shells

- hammer

- gloves

How to do

1. Take some oyster shells.

2. Put on the gloves because the shells are sharp.

3. Hammer the shells to reduce them to the finest powder possible.

4. Put the shell powder in the chicken feeder.

Results

Do not throw away the oyster shells, feed them to the hens

And There you go ! Now you know how to reuse oyster shells in the henhouse :-)

Easy, fast and economical, isn't it?

I can assure you the chickens will jump on it because they love it!

Indeed, oyster shells contain a lot of calcium which helps strengthen the hens.

Thanks to this calcium, they will lay you down good big eggs with a nourishing yellow.

In addition, the shell of their eggs will be much more robust than usual.

Additional advice

Don't you eat oysters? Just go ask your fishmonger for some shells.

I'm sure he'll be happy to give you a few for free!

In addition, the oyster shell powder keeps very well. So, don't hesitate to grind a good quantity of it and keep some of it in an airtight jar.
