1. Dishwashing liquid

Just replace your store-bought dish soap with a squirt of Castile soap.

It works better than any commercial product, it degreases perfectly and it's natural and very gentle on the skin.

2. Laundry detergent

Ingredients: 250 ml of liquid Castile soap, 200 g of baking soda, 500 ml of hot water, 100 g of salt.

Dissolve the baking soda and salt in hot water. Pour everything into a 4-liter container and add the Castile soap. Fill the rest of the container with water.

Put 50 ml per machine. With this recipe, you should be able to make about sixty machines. Nice economy, isn't it?

3. Dishwasher tablets

Mix 250 ml of Castile soap in 250 ml of water and add 2 teaspoons of lemon juice then shake gently.

To use, put a tablespoon of this mixture in the tablet compartment and add 250 ml of white vinegar to the rinse aid compartment.

Add more vinegar if your water is hard.

4. Multi-purpose cleaner

Fill a sprayer 1/4 full with white vinegar and add water for the rest.

Then add a squirt of liquid Castile soap and a few drops of tea tree essential oil.

With this homemade cleaner, you can clean everything in your home! Fast, easy and efficient, isn't it?

5. Tub / shower cleaner

Fill a spray bottle with one-third of Castile soap and two-thirds of water.

Spread the baking soda liberally on the tub and spray the castile soap mixture. Scrub with a scouring sponge or scrub brush.

It obviously also works for cleaning the shower tray.

6. Facial cleansing gel

In a soap pump bottle, put 50 ml of Castile soap, and fill the rest of the bottle with distilled water (approximately 250 ml).

Then add 5 drops of tea tree essential oil. Tea tree is an excellent antibacterial and is particularly useful for acne-prone skin.

7. Hair shampoo

Shampooing your own with Castile soap is super easy. All that is needed is one additional natural ingredient.

Plus, it lathers well unlike many other homemade shampoo recipes.

To do this, simply mix 1 tablespoon of Castile soap with a teaspoon of coconut milk to obtain a portion of shampoo.

You can make more of it and store it in the refrigerator. It will keep for at least 1 week.

8. Hand soap

Fill a pump bottle three quarters full of water (boiled or distilled) and one quarter of unscented liquid Castile soap.

Optional: add 1/8 teaspoon of essential oil, such as tea tree for its antibacterial properties or lemon for its deodorant properties or lavender for its pleasant scent.

9. Dog shampoo

Once your dog is thoroughly wet, put a few squirts of Peppermint Castile soap on his fur.

Rub it well until you have a nice lather.

Then simply rinse it off with lukewarm water. Be careful not to put it in the dog's ears or eyes.

10. Glass cleaner

Mix 100 ml of white vinegar, 2 teaspoons of liquid Castile soap and 2 cups of warm distilled water.

Optionally, add a few drops of tea tree essential oil to the mixture.

Pour the mixture into a spray bottle, shake and spray on your windows then wipe down with newspaper for a streak-free finish.
