My B & oelig; uf Bourguignon Maison: My Recipe for less than € 4.50 per Person!

How can I resist my homemade beef bourguignon? Impossible !

Needless to say, everyone is in heaven: my guests and my wallet!

The secret to a good beef bourguignon? Its cooking time! The more it simmers, the better it will be ...

a boeuf bourguignon an easy and inexpensive dish

Ingredients for 4 persons

- 1 kg of beef for braising

- 100 g of bacon

- 2 onions

- 1 clove of garlic

- 500 g of mushrooms

- 3 carrots

- 2 tablespoons of flour

- ½ bottle of red Burgundy wine

- 3 tablespoons of oil

- 1 bouquet garni

- Salt and pepper

How to do

1. Cut the meat into large cubes.

2. In a Dutch oven or casserole, heat the oil.

3. Then brown the pieces of meat on each side.

4. Add the bacon, chopped onion, garlic and carrots cut into rings.

5. Then sprinkle the meat with flour and mix well.

6. Wet with wine gradually, its level should not exceed the pieces of meat.

7. Add a bouquet garni, salt and pepper.

8. Cover and simmer over low heat for 1 hour 45 minutes, turning from time to time.

9. Add the mushrooms and cook for another 15 minutes, still over low heat.

Results

And there you have it, you have prepared a delicious beef bourguignon, simple and inexpensive :-)

My bonus tip

I make sure the meat is cooked enough by pricking the inside with a sharp knife. Warmed up? It will only get better. You can prepare it the day before in peace ...

-1 kg of beef: 12 € to 14 €

-100 g of bacon: € 1.50

- 500 g of mushrooms: € 2.50

- 3 carrots: € 0.45

- 1/2 bottle of Burgundy wine: € 3

That is€ 4.50 per guest !

Give free rein to your imagination by making variations: you can replace the mushrooms with potatoes.
