How to Cook an Egg Perfectly Every Time.

Do you like eggs?

You are right because it is a great source of protein that is much more affordable than meat.

The only concern is that it is very difficult to calculate the cooking time of the eggs ...

And nothing more frustrating than breaking the shell and seeing that it's a hard-boiled egg when you wanted a soft-boiled egg!

If only we could see inside the shell, that would still be easier, right? :-)

Luckily, here's the guide to cooking eggs just the way you want them every time:

The practical guide to the perfect cooking time for eggs

How to do

1. Put the eggs in a saucepan with cold water. Be sure to leave three cm of water above the eggs. Do not put too many eggs in the pan at the same time.

2. Place the pot on the stove over high heat.

3. When the water begins to boil slightly around the eggs, put a lid on the pot and move it to an off heat or to a trivet.

4. And now start the timer! Follow the cooking times given above to get an egg exactly the way you want it.

Cooking time

Three minutes: the whites are slightly viscous. The yolks are completely liquid.

Four minutes: the whites are now frozen but they are still soft and supple. The yolks are still liquid but a little firmer than before.

Six minutes: The whites are still supple but firmer. The yellows are a nice uniform color and well maintained.

Ten minutes : the whites are now completely firm but the yolks are still slightly creamy.

Fifteen minutes : you now have a completely solid hard-boiled egg.

When the cooking is finished, immerse the eggs in very cold water for 1 min. Tap them gently on the edge of the sink to crack them and peel them easily.
