Under your front door, cold air creeps in and cools your home.

In addition to being cold, a good deal of the money you spend on heating escapes under the door.

Caulking your front door with a door bead is a very economical trick.

And, to save, no need to go and buy a front door coil. Make it yourself in minutes with newspaper.

how to insulate your door from the cold

How to do

1. Measure the size of your front door.

2. Make a door bead that protrudes a few centimeters on each side, as in the photo.

3. To do this, roll up newspaper, compacting it as much as possible.

4. Once it is well compacted, seal your roll with tape.

5. For maximum insulation, make a second door bead of the same size as the first, which will be attached to the other side of your door.

6. Secure the two rods together to your door with tape, which you slide under the door to connect the two rods together so that they remain securely attached to your front door at all times.
