Fortunately, there is a pro tip to make a solid jeans hem without using a sewing machine.

The trick is to triple the point every 10 cm. Look :

How to do

1. Start sewing your hem stitches as usual.

2. After 10 cm, sew three stitches on top of each other.

3. Repeat your stitches normally on 10 cm.

4. Then triple the point again.

5. Repeat until you are finished hemming.

And there you have it, with this technique you sewed a solid jeans hem by hand :-)

To make it even more solid, you can even quadruple the point every 10 cm.

If the fabric is thick, like jeans or a curtain, the best isuse elastic thread rather than a cotton thread.

He is much more solid and what's more, it's almost invisible because it doesn't warp the fabric.

It's still better when you hem a skirt!
