My grandmother has a simple and effective trick to recovering a smelly sponge.
The trick is to clean and disinfect with water and lemon. Look :
How to do
1. Squeeze a lemon juice.
2. Pour very hot water into a container.
3. Add the lemon juice in it.
4. Put the sponge in it to soak.
5. Let the sponge soak overnight.
6. The next day, rinse it off with water.
Results
And there you have it, your sponge is now very clean and disinfected :-)
No more bad musty and greasy smells! Your sponge smells like lemon.
