Grandmother's Efficient Sunburn Remedy.

No matter how much I live in the South and worship the sun… I have very fair and fragile skin.

Sunburn, unfortunately, is familiar to me and sometimes we can't always avoid it ...

So what to do when you've been sunburned?

Fortunately, my grandmother gave me a very effective remedy for relieving sunburn.

The trick is to apply lavender essential oil to the skin. Look :

Ingredients

- 5 drops of true lavender essential oil

- 1 tablespoon of St. John's Wort vegetable oil

How to do

1. Pour five drops of true lavender oil in a teaspoon of St. John's Wort vegetable oil.

2. Spread the mixture on sunburns three to four times the first day.

3. Then repeat in the morning and evening for the next two days.

Results

There you go, you now know how to treat a sunburn :-)

Be aware that you can substitute St. John's Wort oil with any other vegetable oil that you have on hand.

6 tips to avoid sunburn

Better to take precautions to protect yourself and avoid sunburn. Here are 6 tips to avoid sunburn:

1. Spread your cream generously all over: don't cut corners on sunscreen! When I apply it, I don't skimp on the quantity. And above all, I don't forget the ears or the toes. And I regularly renew the applications.

2. Choose mineral screens: my dermatologist advised me to choose mineral screens rather than chemical filters. They are simply more effective and carry fewer health risks. Mineral screens, composed of mineral microparticles, reflect UV rays like a barrier or ... a screen placed on the skin. They are generally paraben free. 3. Choose a high index even if your skin is already caramel colored. And don't think your sunscreen is a passport to limitless exposure. Do not expose yourself never between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. (and even less your children) when the sun is at its zenith because the UV rays are too strong.

4. Stock up on fruits and vegetables: apricots, tomatoes, carrots, spinach, lemon, broad beans, lentils, split peas, red, white, black beans ... with a little olive oil: this is the ideal menu to prepare your skin in the sun, because they contain substances that protect the skin. They are full of vitamins C and E, antioxidants, beta-carotene ... On the other hand, forget about meats, dairy products and sugars.

5. Cover up: in the sun, keep your favorite T-shirt, cap or hat and glasses, especially during the hottest hours of the day. It is the most effective protection against the sun.

6. Protect yourself even during assembly: do not think that the sun is better in the mountains! It is in fact quite the opposite. So take all the precautions indicated above.
