A Librarian's Trick To Easily Clean Up Your Dirty Books.

Do you have old dirty books at home?

And would you like them to be like new again?

It's true that over time, books get dirty, yellow and dusty.

Some of my books even got moldy because I left them in my cellar.

Fortunately, a librarian friend told me about her simple thing to refresh the books without damaging them.

The trick is to put them in a paper bag with baking soda. Look :

How to do

1. Take a paper bag that you can reseal.

2. Pour in a tablespoon of baking soda.

3. Put the book in the paper bag.

4. Wait a week.

5. Take out the book and remove the baking soda with a soft brush.

Results

And there you have it, you easily cleaned your old book which was all dirty :-)

It works of course for books that have a cardboard cover or edge.

Consider this tip if you buy a damaged second hand book! In addition, the musty odors of the book also disappear.

This trick also works for all the objects that you cannot wash with water: postcards, old newspapers ...
