The Revolutionary Tip For Learning ALL Multiplication Tables.

Knowing your multiplication tables is essential.

The problem is that it's not easy to remember all the tables up to 10! This is true for the little ones ... but not only ;-)

Fortunately, there is a trick to doing the multiplication tables directly on your hands.

Here is a little video that explains how to find all the multiplication tables from 5x6 on our two hands. I find that revolutionary! Look :

How it works

You just need to know your multiplication tables from 1 to 5, then all the others are easily found on your hands. Here's how :

Example for 7x7

- We already have the number 5 represented by the number of fingers on each hand. So to have 7x7, we only raise 2 fingers on each hand.

- Each raised finger is worth 10. So for the 4 raised fingers in total, that's 10+10+10+10=40.

- Folded fingers should multiply one by one. So for the 3 fingers folded on each hand, it makes 3x3 = 9.

- It only remains to add these two results 40+9=49.

- We get the result of the multiplication of 7x7 = 49 :-)

Example for 6x8

- We raise 1 finger on the left hand and 3 on the right hand to have 6x8.

- We therefore have 4 fingers raised in total, which makes 10+10+10+10=40.

- We have 4 fingers folded on the left hand and 2 on the right hand, which makes 4x2 = 8.

- We add these two results 40+8=48.

- We get the result of the multiplication of 6x8 = 48.

Example for 9x7

- We raise 4 fingers on the left hand and 2 on the right hand to have 9x7.

- We therefore have 6 fingers raised in total, which makes 10+10+10+10+10+10=60.

- We have 1 bent finger on the left hand and 3 on the right hand, which makes 1x3 = 3.

- We add these two results 60+3=63.

- We get the result of the multiplication of 9x7 = 63.

Example for 6x7

- We raise 1 finger on the left hand and 2 on the right hand to have 6x7.

- We therefore have 3 fingers raised in total, which makes 10+10+10=30.

- We have 4 fingers folded on the left hand and 3 on the right hand, which makes 4x3 = 12.

- We add these two results 30+12=42.

- We get the result of the multiplication of 6x7 = 42.
