The Honey Shampoo Recipe Your Hair Will Love.

Did you know that honey is a excellent rehydrating shampoo ?

I couldn't believe it myself! But today, this honey shampoo is the only hair care I use!

When I think last year I still had an entire shelf full of hair care!

Shampoo, conditioner, hair mask, serum (overpriced) against dry hair ... how the hell can simple honey replace all these products?

Before I explain everything to you, I'll start at the beginning :-)

Discover the recipe for homemade honey shampoo

A year ago, I set myself a challenge to improve my quality of life: to eliminate toxic ingredients from all the products I use every day. The result ?

Today, I have the great pleasure to tell you that ALL of my body care products are homemade and WITHOUT toxic products: toothpaste, deodorant, body milk based on coconut oil, facial oil and tonic lotion for the face.

Before using this honey-based shampoo, I tried every recipe I could imagine.

But none of them really suited me: either they irritated my scalp or they dried out my hair.

Why use honey shampoo?

Discover the benefits of honey shampoo

I have been using this homemade honey shampoo for over 3 months and I can tell you that I can not do without it!

First, since I use it, I no longer have a dandruff problem, a persistent and very embarrassing problem.

Now, my hair is soft and shiny. They have more volume and are even more curly than before.

What's more, my hair is no longer dry or brittle : no more need for those anti-dry hair serums that cost an arm and a leg!

Finally, the honey shampoo regulates sebum production of my scalp.

Result: I can wait up to 4 days between each shampoo.

- The scalp's pH varies between 4 and 7. That of honey is around 4. Because it is slightly acidic, honey balances the pH of the scalp and eliminates dandruff.

- Honey is 100% natural antibacterial and antifungal. Hence, it can cure scalp infections, whether bacterial or fungal origin.

- Unlike conventional shampoos which dry out the scalp, honey does not eradicate natural sebum. Therefore, there is no overproduction of sebum by the scalp to compensate for dryness due to chemicals.

- Honey moisturizes the hair. And since it does not eliminate sebum, the hair is supple, silky and does not frizz.

- You can also wait longer and longer between each shampoo, another advantage of regulating the production of natural oils in the scalp.

With this shampoo, no need to wash my hair every day: I wait up to 4 days between each shampoo !

- Washing your hair with honey shampoo is easy and fast !

Then ? Are you ready to say goodbye to toxics and invigorate your scalp? :-)

Honey shampoo recipe

Only 2 ingredients for the honey shampoo recipe

Here is the recipe for homemade honey shampoo: in addition, there are only 2 ingredients!

Only 2 ingredients

For 1 dose shampoo:

- 1 tablespoon of unpasteurized honey.

- 3 tablespoons of mineral water.

- optional: a few drops of essential oil of your choice.

How to do

1. Mix the honey and water in a container of your choice, such as a glass jar.

If necessary, heat the mixture slightly over low heat to completely dissolve the honey in the water. You will notice that the texture of the shampoo is very runny: don't worry, This is completely normal.

2.If you wish, add a few drops of essential oils.

I like to add 2 drops of lavender essential oil and 2 drops of carrot seed essential oil.

The essential oils perfume the mixture and treat dandruff problems. As for the essential oil of carrot seeds, it has a rehydrating effect for hair.

3. Wet your hair and pour a few spoons of the honey shampoo on it.

4. Massage your entire scalp with the honey shampoo. No need to put on the tips. Concentrate especially on your scalp.

5. Rinse thoroughly. And here you don't even need a conditioner!

There you have it, you know how to make your homemade honey shampoo.

How to store your honey shampoo

Mixed with water, pure unpasteurized honey can ferment.

Therefore, it is unnecessary to make your homemade honey shampoo in large quantities because the mixture can deteriorate over the days.

Ideally, you should make just the right amount of shampoo for one hair wash.

And as we saw above, it only takes a few minutes to prepare : 1 tablespoon of honey and 3 tablespoons of mineral water… and shoo! in the shower ! :-)

You see, washing your hair with honey is easy!

The downside: a short transition period

Yep, no one likes the term “transition period” - but it wouldn't be fair not to tell you about it.

When you go from a classic "foamy" shampoo (which dries up and eliminates natural sebum) to a honey shampoo, there is a transition period.

Indeed, after the first uses of honey shampoo, your hair may be oily and flatter than usual.

It may even take 1 month or 2 so that the sebum production of your scalp is self-regulating.

To make the transition as quickly as possible, I advise you to wash yourself during the 1st week. hair every day with honey.

Then, the second week, wash your hair every 2 days. The following week, every 3 days. And so on...

There you go, now you know how to wash your hair WITHOUT toxic products! :-)

Washing your hair with honey is easy, natural and economical, right?

If you don't have honey at home, I recommend this 100% organic unpasteurized honey.
