Grated Carrots: The Easy Way To Keep All Their Vitamins.

Did you know that carrots, once grated, lose very quickly their vitamins in contact with air?

It's a shame, because carrots are full of minerals and vitamins.

In particular provitamin A, vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, vitamins C and E, iron, phosphorus, potassium ...

Luckily, there's a simple trick to keeping them all of their nutritional value while they wait to be eaten.

The trick is to sprinkle the grated carrots with lemon juice. Look :

so that the grated carrots keep their vitamins, sprinkle them with lemon juice.

2. Wash them under water.

3. Grate them.

4. Squeeze a lemon juice.

5. Pour the lemon juice over the grated carrots.

Results

There you go, your carrots will retain all their vitamins while waiting to sit down to the table :-)

In addition, this trick will allow them to keep their crunch and their beautiful orange color.

Bonus tip

Instead of adding oil to season them, combine lemon juice and orange juice. The citrus taste goes particularly well with the sweet flavor of carrots.

I also sometimes add nuts, raisins, parsley and cumin for even more treats ... and vitamins!
