No Longer Need To Buy Shampoo! Use Baking Soda And Apple Cider Vinegar Instead.

I waited more than a month before telling you about this experience.

First I wanted to be sure that this method really worked.

After all, "stopping using shampoo" is quite an unusual process ...

In fact, it's even downright odd, isn't it?

Especially for a man! Because yes, Adeline and Marine have already tested the experience but does it also work with guys?

I'm sure some of my friends are scratching their heads wondering what's wrong with me ...

Unless they are looking for lice after spending time with me! ;-)

But let me reassure you right away, I'm clean. I promise !

Use baking soda and apple cider vinegar to wash your hair without shampoo

After this successful experience, I can tell you that yes, we actually don't need to buy shampoo. to have clean and healthy hair!

In fact, we don't need shampoo at all to have a clean scalp that smells good. Explanations:

Why stop using shampoo?

Shampoos and conditioners are full of chemicals and toxins.

In case you didn't know, the next time you shower, read the label on the shampoo bottle.

It will make you all funny and cold in the back! If you can pronounce just one of the listed ingredients, hats off!

Not only are these ingredients bad for you (because of the products that are absorbed into your skin), but they are also not good for the environment ...

Yes, all these plastic bottles unfortunately end up in the trash after just 1 use!

Not to mention the fact that shampoos are so aggressive because of the chemicals they contain, that hair loses its natural oils that protect it.

In addition, all of these products end up being very expensive at the end of the year! Especially when you have a family with children ...

Some shampoos like those from L'Oréal cost more than € 10 per bottle!

Fortunately, here is the easy and inexpensive recipe for homemade shampoo that contains only 2 ingredients:

What you need

a bottle of apple cider vinegar to wash your hair

- baking soda

- cider vinegar

- water

This is all you need!

How to do

1. In a small bowl, make a paste by mixing 1 tablespoon of baking soda and about 100 ml of water.

Me, I use a little more baking soda, almost 2 tablespoons, because my hair is thick. Take the test to see what works best for you.

2. Wet your hair and then wring it out.

3. Pour this solution over your head at the crown. Massage the scalp with your fingers. Insist on the crown then the rest of the scalp.

4. Let sit for 2 to 3 minutes then rinse off as you would a regular shampoo.

Conditioner

1. In this same small bowl (which should be empty now), dilute a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in 100 ml of water. (Same remark as above on the proportion of apple cider vinegar.)

2. Pour the mixture on the ends of your hair and not on the scalp as this will stimulate the production of your sebaceous glands.

3. Leave on for 30 seconds and shake your hair a little to distribute your treatment well.

4. Rinse your hair as usual.

And now, with this homemade shampoo, I no longer buy shampoo and my hair is soft, clean and healthy :-)

Easy, fast and economical, isn't it?

As you can see in the photo, this homemade shampoo recipe works for men too.

And you don't even have to go through the "transition phase" described by Adeline and Marine!

Know that my hair is dry, thick and textured. It's up to you to test to see if it also works on oily, fine and straight hair.

Why does it work?

While researching the Internet, I learned that "baking soda gently removes chemical build-up from the hair."

As for apple cider vinegar, "it detangles the hair, smoothes the scales of the hair and balances their pH".

Awesome, isn't it?

Extra tips

If you want to give it a try, here are some useful tips that I discovered along the way:

- You can buy plastic bottles, use old shampoo bottles or even use glass jars to store your homemade shampoo. It's easier.

- I started by using unfiltered apple cider vinegar. But since then, I have switched to filtered vinegar, which is much cheaper and just as effective.

- You can buy a big jar of baking soda. Just look down the shelves in supermarkets to find it or buy it on the internet here.

- If you want to add a little scent, use essential oils, for example peppermint or lavender. Just a drop or two is enough. But don't worry the vinegar smell will go away after a few minutes.
