The ULTRA Simple Homemade Garlic Croutons Recipe.
Do you like real garlic croutons?
Me too and it's so easy to prepare that I always make them myself.
Admit that it is much better than the ones we buy already ready!
In addition, it is an anti-waste recipe since we use stale bread.
Quickly discover the recipe for homemade garlic croutons.
Ingredients
- 150 g of stale bread
- 4 tablespoons of oil
- 4 cloves of garlic
- salt and pepper
How to do
1. Peel the garlic cloves.
2. Remove the germ.
3. Squeeze them with a garlic press, like this one for example.
4. Mix the well crushed garlic with the oil.
5. Add salt and pepper.
6. Cut the bread into small pieces.
7. Put them in a salad bowl.
8. Pour the garlic scented oil over it.
9. Leave to macerate for 30 minutes so that the juice permeates the bread well.
10. Heat your oven to 200 ° C (thermostat 7).
11. Place the bread on the baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
12. Grill the croutons for 5 min.
13. Turn them over and grill them for another 5 min. Watch them so they don't burn.
14. Take them out of the oven and place them on absorbent paper.
Results
There you go, your homemade garlic croutons are already ready :-)
Personally, I love to put these croutons in a Caesar salad.
But they also go very well with hot or cold soup, grilled vegetables or even an aperitif!
Bonus tip
If you make this recipe in the spring, you'll have fresh garlic. In this case, no need to remove the germ, as there is none! Otherwise, with dry garlic, remember to remove it well.
