I tried washing a musty smelling towel with my laundry, but it still stank of mold!
Luckily, I discovered an awesome grandma's trick for removing the musty smell from a towel or clothing.
The trick is to wash your towel or hot laundry with 250 ml of white vinegar. The result is simply BLUFFING! Look :
What you need
- 250 ml of white vinegar
- 250 g of baking soda
How to do
1. Put your bath towels (3 or 4 maximum) in the washing machine.
2. Do not put detergent in the detergent drawer. Simply pour the white vinegar over the napkins, and let it do its magic!
3. Start a wash cycle, choosing the hottest temperature 90 ° C.
4. Once the cycle is complete, dry the towels in the sun on a clothesline, spreading them out well.
If you have a tumble dryer, dry the towels with dryer balls.
5. If the musty smell has not gone away, repeat the wash at 90 ° C, but replacing the white vinegar with 250 g of baking soda and always without laundry.
Results
And there you have it, now your towels or clothes smell clean :-)
Easy, fast and efficient, isn't it?

I do not recommend you to use apple cider vinegar because it smells stronger than white vinegar.
