The oven trays are the part of the oven that gets dirty the fastest.
An overflowing gratin, a runny cake, cooking a chicken ...
And presto, the plates quickly become very dirty and clogged!
Hello the galley to remove this cooked fat and this burnt dirt ...
No need to buy a product to strip the oven like Décap'Four. They are among the most toxic household products!
Fortunately, a cook buddy told me his 4 best tips for degreasing and stripping oven trays.
In any case, know that it is always better to clean the plates when they are still hot. It is much easier. Look :
1. Coarse salt + White vinegar
To get the baking sheet back out of the oven, don't wait until it is cold. Clean it while it is still warm. In a small container, mix 1/4 glass of coarse salt and 1/4 glass of white vinegar. Using a sponge soaked in the mixture, rub the baking sheet. Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse. All you have to do is wipe the dish clean.
2. Black soap
Don't wait for the plate to cool! Pour pure black soap on a damp sponge. Scrub with the plate and rinse thoroughly with hot water. Dry with a tea towel and admire the work! If the fats and burnt residues are well encrusted, let the black soap act for 15 min or overnight, it all depends on whether the plate is really very dirty or not.
3. Baking soda
On the still warm baking sheet, sprinkle baking soda and run a damp sponge over it. If any grease residue is stuck on the baking sheet, pour 3 measures of baking soda into a container and add 1 measure of lukewarm water to obtain a paste. Spread the dough on the baking sheet and let it sit overnight. The next day, rinse the plate with a sponge and hot water. The plate is now nickel!
4. Bicarbonate + Percarbonate + Vinegar
Start by generously sprinkling the stains of cooked fat while still hot with baking soda. Put 1 tablespoon of percarbonate of soda in a spray and add a glass and a half of hot water to it. Spray this mixture on the baking sheet. In another spray, put 1 part vinegar for 2 parts water and spray this product on the plate. Wait 1 to 2 hours for your stripper to take effect then take a vegetable brush and rub with it. If stubborn stains remain, use a plastic spatula to strip them.
