How to Stop Bleeding from a Cut with Pepper?
I'll give you a simple tip to stop the bleeding from a small cut:
By pouring pepper powder ...
I can already hear you: "But he's crazy, it must sting!" "
Well no, and that’s the whole magic of the thing is that it works and it is guaranteed to be pain free!
I was in the middle of an onion slicing operation when my super sharp knife slipped and literally sliced off my thumb.
My first instinct was to run my finger under a trickle of water. Fault ! The water thins the blood and therefore promotes bleeding.
How to do
My dad, a cook by trade, then grabbed my hand, grabbed the pepperbox and poured a generous amount of it on my finger.
Instinctively, I screamed! In short, what could be more natural since in the collective unconscious, pepper stings.
Then, I changed my mind very quickly, noting that not only did it not sting, but that I was no longer bleeding at all!
Why it works
In fact, pepper acts as a barrier that makes the blood clot. As it dries, it will form a small crust that you just need to rinse with water after an hour. Without forgetting to disinfect the wound well.
In the meantime, you can resume the activity you were doing without getting blood everywhere.
This method can be applied to all kinds of small wounds, cuts, abrasions ...
On the other hand, be careful, do not dare to pour another condiment on it. A popular belief is that salt helps healing. False ! Salt is corrosive and will therefore irritate the wound and ... sting!
This tip does not apply only to superficial cuts. Mine, for example, was still very deep and was bleeding quite a bit. The pepper immediately crusted and stopped the bleeding.
Moms in the Maghreb also use it on their toddlers when they scratch their lips, because it is a hyper vascularized part of the body that bleeds a lot.
But for any serious cut, do not hesitate a moment! Go see a doctor.
