3 100% Homemade Halloween Makeup Ideas For a Successful Party.
Halloween is coming.
And our children do not budge: they absolutely want to dress up and go and shout "Spell or Treat" to all the neighbors in the neighborhood.
But for that, they need the best looking (or scariest!) Makeup, so here are some tips for pulling off a horrible Halloween makeup look without spending too much money.
1. Very colorful make-up
The whole family wants to play the game and put on makeup. But everyone has chosen their costume and they are all very different. So the budget has already exploded and you don't think you can afford all the makeup colors. Especially since, in the end, he does not will only be used once ! So, here is my recipe, very simple:
- 1/4 cup of cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons of water
- 2 tablespoons of cold cream
- 5 drops of dishwashing liquid
- food coloring (we have some, they are used for everything!)
I mix everything, except for the food coloring. I place roughly equivalent portions in a compartmentalized container (egg box style) and then add the dyes (2 or 3 drops) to have makeup of all colors.
I make up my whole tribe on clean, dry skin. The "plus" is that this one evening makeup goes off by itself with soap and water.
2. Simple and childish make-up
Another problem now arises: choosing your makeup and, above all, knowing how to do it! Something that we do not think easy at first. I don't hesitate to go to a YouTube-style site, where several people have had fun before me doing make-up and filming themselves.
For the simpler ones: the creepy little tiger only needs stripes as well as the zebra and the skeleton. The ladybug ? Nothing complicated either and you can have a little green frog with just two big yellow eyes.
3. Make-up more "halloween"
For adults who are not afraid to scare, here are my more "terrifying" tips!
- I realize a scar with pink and green handkerchiefs that I mix with syrup, in order to obtain a paste that I apply to the skin. I correct makeup when it's dry.
- I can also make beautiful bruises by first passing it with blue eyeshadow on the skin, then touches of gray everywhere, then green, preferably putting it around the wound for a more "natural" "blue".
- I dress up as a witch, I need a hairy wart ! With false eyelash or false nail glue, I place a black peppercorn wherever I want on my face. I stick one or more hairs (old brushes, false eyelashes etc) on it. To speed up the drying, I can use the hair dryer.
- Come on, one last that you were all waiting for, I'm sure: the skin of decaying monster ! One dose of flour for two doses of syrup, here is a sticky mixture that I place all over my face! I apply white handkerchiefs on top, also soaked in the same mixture. When it's dry, I apply makeup to the desired color. For more relief, I can also place small pieces of soaked cotton under the handkerchief.
