The EASIEST Method To Clean Home Shades.
Here is a simple tip for cleaning your blinds at home.
Shades are one of those things I often forget to clean.
And even when I think about it, I tend to put it off until later.
Because frankly ... cleaning the blinds is far from my favorite household chore!
But since we kept our Venetian blinds unrolled all summer, they accumulated a lot of dust.
Fortunately, after much research, I found THE easiest way to clean them.
All you need is some homemade tweezers and a good dust spray.
With this, you too will be able to clean your blinds much more easily and quickly. Look :
What you need
- 4 elastic bands
- 1 kitchen tongs (like this one for example)
- 1 microfiber cloth
How to do
1. Cut the microfiber cloth in half.
2. Fold each half in half.
3. Wrap one of the pieces of rag around one of the 2 ends of the kitchen tongs.
4. Use the rubber bands to tie it up.
5. Tie the other piece of rag in the same way.
Results
And There you go ! Your blind cleaning pliers are ready to use :-)
Use
For best results, I advise you to spray a small amount of a dust spray on the microfiber cloth.
For this, we advise you to use our homemade dust spray. This makes it possible to clean, disinfect and deodorize the awning in 1 single step.
And now it's time for the easiest and fastest part: cleaning!
To clean the blinds, simply pinch a slat and slide the microfiber cloths along the entire length of the slat as below:
Repeat this gesture on the other slats, and you will see that your blind will be deep cleaned in no time.
Once all the blinds in your house are as clean as ever, think about to detach and wash the two pieces of microfiber cloths.
Once the pieces of rags have been washed, you can of course reuse them the next time.
Results
I admit that since I discovered this trick, I tend to clean and dust my blinds much more often.
My blind cleaning pliers really make my life easier!
In addition, thanks to the length of the kitchen tongs, I can even reach high areas (and believe me, I'm not that tall).
With my pliers associated with the house anti-dust spray, I know that my blinds are cleaner than ever !
