The Rassis Bread Pudding Recipe.

Today we invite you to put your cooking skills to good use with this clever and inexpensive recipe.

It is very easy to make and it is a real treat. Look :

The economical recipe for stale bread pudding

Ingredients for 4 persons

- 150 g of raisins: at 4.84 € per kilo, i.e. 0.73 €

- 1/2 liter of milk: at € 0.71 per liter or € 0.35

- 100 g of candied orange: at € 29.70 per kilo, i.e. € 2.97

- 150 g of powdered sugar: at € 1.19 per kilo, i.e. € 0.18

- 2 eggs: € 0.50

- 10 pieces of white sugar

- stale bread

Either a delicious pudding coming back to me € 1.18 per person or even € 4.73 for 4 people.

How to do

Preperation : 40 mins - Cooking: 50 mins

1. I soak the raisins in hot water for 15 min.

2. During this time, I crumble 200 g of stale bread in a salad bowl. I pour 1/2 liter of boiling milk over it, cover and let it swell.

3. I finely cut 100 g of candied orange and I drain the grapes.

4. I incorporate the bread crumbs.

5. I blow on the preparation for two seconds then I add 150 g of sugar, the 2 eggs beaten into an omelet, the grapes and the orange.

6. In a cake mold, I caramelize 10 pieces of sugar with 2 tablespoons of water.

7. When the caramel is ready, I pour it very gently on the sides of the mold and I pour my preparation.

8. I bake in a medium oven for 50 min.

Results

There you go, your stale bread pudding is ready :-)

If you are really greedy, you can add jam all over the place!
