A Crown of Kings Made in 5 minutes that Kate & William Envy us!
The classic golden wreaths sold in the pancakes at the supermarket are neither original nor very strong. Making your Epiphany crown means securing a unique and personalized object. And if the galette des rois is homemade, then we have won everything on a budget!
The Epiphany is there. The three wise men and their disciples are arriving to eat your delicious homemade galette des rois in 1 hour ... but one more detail is missing: crowns of the future king and his queen of the year.
Personally, I have always found the wreaths supplied with the galettes des rois frankly not worked and not very original. So hurry quickly, System D!
What do i need?
I'll get Scissors, a Sheet of cardboard, a craft box and let's get creative! And of course I put the children to work. It's a great way to make them do an original activity ...
How do I make my Crown?
1. I cut a strip in Canson paper 60 to 65 cm long and 10 to 15 cm wide.
2. I trace to pencil the design of my crown, applying me. I form beautiful lilies or spikes and flourishes, according to my desires. Once I am satisfied, I cut cleanly.
3. I CUS-TO-MI-SE! Depending on the color of my Canson paper, I paint (dots, stars ...) or I'm there glue stickers, pre-cut images (of kings, royal objects, family photos).
You can also stick buttons, party favors, cotton, pearls. The important thing is to create with what you have on hand. And There you go !
4. All that remains is to make one for the queen! Either staple it right away, or wait for the king and queen to reveal themselves!
A variation: the Thousand and One Nights version Crown!
1. I cut this time a big band 65 cm by 40 cm.
2. Placed horizontally, I keep 10 cm in the direction of the width and I fold. Then i cut 10 bands 5 * 30 cm from 10 cm to the end of the sheet. And, I customize.
3. I hang the 10 strips together with a staple. Tadadam! You have a huge crown puffy à la Aladdin!
The galette des rois is cooked, the bean inserted, the crowns made? So, "Happy Epiphany!"
