We all tried to soak the recalcitrant label in water, or worse to use solvents (and there ... DISASTER!)
The trick that works is to melt the glue by heating the label with a hair dryer for 20 seconds.

How to do
1. Direct the heat of the hair dryer at the label.
2. Hold the breath like this for 20 sec.
3. Remove the label with your fingers.
Results
And there you have it, your label goes away easily without leaving a trace :-)
The label peels off instantly.
