Fortunately, there is a easy way to open a hardcover book without damaging it.
Don't worry, it's simple, just follow these few steps. Look :
How to do
1. On a table, place the closed book on its back.
2. Let the front cover of the book open.
3. Then the back cover.
4. Open a few pages at the beginning of the book.
5. Then a few pages at the end of the book.
6. Continue to open pages, alternating between the beginning and the end of the book.
7. Each time, gently press up and down in the middle of the pages.
8. Repeat the operation two or three times so that the binding is done.
9. You can start reading your book quietly.
