On the other hand, as a leave-in mask, coconut oil is a little too oily for the hair.

Fortunately, coconut milk is here! It softens and conditions the hair without weighing it down.

Just spray it on clean, damp hair. And there you go, it's done.

Don't worry it only takes a few minutes to make this mask. I hope you will like this recipe as much as I do :-). Look :

leave-in hair mask with coconut milk

Ingredients

- A small sprayer of about 50 ml like this one.

- 1/4 cup of distilled water or tap water that has been boiled for 5 minutes and left to cool.

- 1 tablespoon of canned coconut milk.

- Up to 10 drops of essential oil.

Which essential oil to choose for your leave-in mask?

- Tea tree and rosemary are often recommended for oily hair because of their astringent qualities and for maintaining freshness. Rosemary is great for making hair shine.

- Lavender is one of my favorites for normal or dry hair because it is nourishing.

- Vanilla just smells amazingly good. Especially when it is mixed with the coconut.

How to do

1. Whisk the coconut milk, water and essential oils to mix them well.

2. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle.

To avoid the mess, freeze the rest of the coconut milk in an ice cube tray. Put 1 tablespoon per compartment. You can thaw it to redo this balm.

Use

Shake the bottle before use. Then spray on damp hair. Comb the hair to distribute it all over the hair.

Conservation

Keep this homemade mask in the fridge because it does not contain any preservative. That's why I only make it in very small quantities and use it right away.
