My 5 Self-Tanning Recipes For A Tanned Complexion Despite the Rain.
Yes, it's raining, but we're not going to make a big deal out of it!
With my self-tanner recipes, we're all going to look good, sun or not.
Here are 5 ways to escape the gloom.
And to have a radiant complexion, illuminated and all tanned, even without exposure to the sun!
1. A carrot treatment for a radiant complexion
My cousin shows off because she lives in the South and is already starting her dream tan. But, she will be surprised because I found the solution, even with this rain!
- 1 carrot
- olive oil
Go! Preparation in the kitchen now:
1. Grate the carrot.
2. Mix the grated carrot in olive oil. Mix well and wait for the oil to turn orange in color.
3. Once the oil turns orange, filter through a colander to remove the carrot pieces.
There you go, your carrot treatment is ready :-)
Very nourishing for the skin, you can use it daily, for as long as desired. When the first rays of the sun appear, this mixture will accentuate the tan very quickly.
How to keep it? In a small glass bottle, protected from heat and humidity. The best is to leave it in the refrigerator, at most for a month.
Attention, this treatment does not protect absolutely from the sun. It is a tanning activator, which lightly tints the skin and increases its effectiveness under the effects of the sun.
So don't forget to protect yourself with sunscreen.
2. Sun capsules and tanning activators
It is well known, to tan faster, we must produce more melanin (this pigment that colors our skin). This is exactly what tan enhancers do.
Thus, your skin prepares for the sun, it produces more melanin and the tan appears more quickly.
Sun capsules, to be used a month before leaving for the tropics, are real nutritional supplements that help the skin to tan. Rich in vitamins A, C and E, they are formidable antioxidants which thus prevent the aging of the skin.
3. Black tea self-tanner, my ally for tanned skin
There really isn't the slightest ray of sunshine ... too bad, I'll be tanned anyway.
Black tea is a great antioxidant and, thanks to the tannin it contains, gives me that coveted light caramel color.
You know, a bit like the marks it leaves at the bottom of our cup, a sign that it effectively colors everything it touches!

This recipe will cost you less than € 1. When you think that a self-tanner sold in supermarkets costs at least 10 €, my thinking time is rather quick!
4. I eat colored foods to pigment my skin
No secrets, to have a pretty tanned skin, you have to eat very ripe fruits and vegetables, with pretty orange, red and yellow colors.
Why ? Because they help in the production of melanogenesis (responsible for this enzyme that colors our skin: melanin).
In addition, these fruits and vegetables are also perfect antioxidants, so they help fight against free radicals and leave our skin younger and less wrinkled. To learn more about antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables, it's here.
5. I mix DHA with my moisturizer
What is DHA? Presented in the form of a white powder, this natural component will help color the upper layers of the epidermis without any risk to health. In addition, no need for the accelerating effects of the sun to have a healthy glow, only DHA is enough!
How to use it ? Daily, mix a little of this powder with your usual moisturizer. To find out the exact proportions, go to Aroma-zone.com where you can get a small 10 g bottle for 3.5 €, which will be more than enough to be beautiful and tanned all season!
When do we see the effects? After 2 hours, the skin is already starting to take on a slight tint. The effects can be seen to intensify during the 24 hours following its use. When used daily in your day cream, your skin tan will gradually intensify.
The advantage over another self-tanner is that DHA is water resistant.
Be careful, DHA does not have the effect of accelerating the production of melanin, it simply colors the skin and therefore does not protect you from the sun at all. Only sunscreens with an index greater than 20 will protect you from UVA, UVB and infrared rays, which are responsible for aging and skin diseases.
Your turn...
