Grilled Baguette with Gruyère, a Super Economical Recipe!
Want a recipe that is super easy to make and economical?
Toast, a little cheese and a few tomatoes will be all it takes to complement a delicious meal in a matter of minutes.
This recipe, I prepare it most often with leftovers and my wallet is happy!
As well as my husband and my children.
My ingredients for 4 people
- 1 baguette
- 200 g of grated Gruyere
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon of mustard
- 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
- Salt pepper
Preparation in 10 minutes
1. I preheat my oven to 180 °.
2. I wash, seed and then chop the tomatoes.
3. I cut the baguette in half and open each half in half to get 4 pieces.
4. In a salad bowl, I put the grated cheese, the tomatoes, the spoons of mustard and mayonnaise. I salt and pepper.
5. I spread the filling on the slices of my baguette and arrange them on the baking sheet.
6. I put in the oven and let it grill for 5 min.
Results
There you go, your gruyère toast are ready :-)
I serve them hot with a few salad leaves.
Bonus tip

- 1 baguette: € 0.90.
- 200 g of grated Gruyère: 200 g at € 6.33 per kilo, i.e. € 1.26.
- 2 tomatoes: around 240 g at € 2.50 per kilo, i.e. € 0.60.
Either a friendly and quick meal to prepare myself coming back to me € 0.69 per person or even € 2.76 for 4 guests.
