And you're out of shoe polish and you're already late to leave?
No need to run to the supermarket to buy shoe polish!
Fortunately, there is an amazing trick to shine your shoes without shining.
Did you know that olive oil is the perfect extra polish for your old leather shoes?
Astonishing but effective! Look :
How to do
1. Take a clean cloth.
2. Soak it in olive oil.
3. Pass this soaked cloth over the leather of the shoe by making small circles.
4. Take another clean, dry cloth.
5. Gently rub the leather of the shoe to make it shine.
Results
There you go, your leather shoes are all shiny and well polished :-)
Convenient, efficient and economical, isn't it?
It's still better than going out in dirty shoes, isn't it?
This grandma thing is really helpful when you're in a hurry and want to have clean shoes.
But for your brand new shoes, we still recommend that you wax them with shoe polish.
On the other hand, for old shoes, once in a while, waxing them in olive oil helps to restore their shine without damaging them.
