Has Your Brush Hardened? Take out the White Vinegar!
Want to get into DIY or painting and your brushes have hardened?
Do not panic ! No need to throw them away even if they are quite dry ...
... or even worse, if they've taken a bad fold and the hairs are topsy-turvy.
There is a painter's trick to recover hardened brushes.
The trick is to use white vinegar to scrub old brushes quickly. Look :
How to do
1. Fill a glass with white vinegar.
2. Pour this glass of white vinegar into a saucepan.
3. Put it to heat.
4. Remove the white vinegar from the heat when it gets hot but not boiling, so it won't damage your brushes.
5. Soak your brushes in warm white vinegar.
6. Leave on 5good minutes.
Results
And there you have it, your brushes are now very beautiful, brand new and above all very soft :-)
No more dry brushes! Now you know how to recover a paint hardened brush.
No need for White Spirit! Thanks to its acidity, the vinegar will soften the brush full of dry paint.
