How To Clean Your Terrace Without Spending Too Much?

1. Wood cladding
You chose wood designed for the outdoors, of class 3 minimum. This is great, it will stand up to time and wear better.
But you still have to maintain it. No need to invest in a Kärcher, even with a rotating brush.

Then it is necessary to proceed to a "sobering up", because the wood turns gray over time. Do not rush to the products sold in the store. Here is a more economical solution:
- Mix percarbonate of soda (for the dosage count approximately 30 to 40g / liter) and hot water.
- Apply with a brush.
- Leave to act for about 20 min.
- Brush then rinse thoroughly.
Finally, we will give back the original color to the terrace by applying a saturator on the dry wood.
Environmentally friendly, it is more expensive than the often recommended linseed oil / turpentine mixture, but much more durable. I do not recommend this mixture of linseed oil, which is very toxic and not very effective.
2. Concrete coating / waxed concrete
For remove moss, mold and stains on your concrete patio slab, do the following:
- Mix 2 tablespoons of percarbonate of soda per liter of hot water.
- Scrub the terrace with your broom.
- Rinse thoroughly.
3. Tiled coating
To find a very clean tiles, scrub it with your broom and lukewarm water with black soap.
If the seals are dirty, mix:
- a volume of lukewarm water,
- a volume of baking soda,
- possibly the juice of a lemon.
All you have to do is rub hard to loosen the dirt!
