Luckily, here's a quick and easy grandma's trick for removing a hardened red wine stain.

The trick is touse hydrogen peroxide and washing up liquid. Look :

What you need

Hydrogen peroxide and dishwashing liquid to remove red wine stains

- 2 tablespoons of dishwashing liquid

- 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide

- 250 ml of water

- 1 vaporizer

- 1 bowl

How to do

1. Put the water in the spray bottle.

2. Add the hydrogen peroxide.

3. Add the washing-up liquid.

Put dishwashing liquid in the spray bottle

4. Close the spray bottle and mix well.

5. Place the stain over a bowl to prevent the stain from spreading.

6. Spray the mixture on the stain.

9. Leave on for a few minutes.

Easy and fast, isn't it? And it works, even if the stain is dry and old!

If the stain is still wet and fresh, consider absorbing as much wine as possible with paper towel first.

Additional advice

Obviously, this trick works to remove wine stains from all types of fabric (cotton, linen), including tablecloths.

This remedy is perfect for white fabrics. For other colors, test first on a small part to see what it looks like.

Note that this method works much better than those that use baking soda, white vinegar or soapy water.

On the other hand, avoid putting coarse salt on it. It may react with the tannin and fix the stain. Due to the oxidation, the stain would be even more difficult to remove.
