What you need

- 6 egg shells empty

- 1 empty egg box

- 1 small spoon

- of the earth

- seeds of parsley, chives, mint, basil or other aromatic plants

How to do

1. When breaking your eggs to make an omelet or soft-boiled eggs, keep the shells high enough so that they form small, high-enough containers.

2. Wash them and put them back in the box.

3. Fill the shells with soil or potting soil, using a teaspoon.

4. Sow different seeds in each shell: you can write the name in felt-tip pen on the shells to remember what you put in them!

5. Water a little (every other day) and place your mini-garden in the light ... and wait for it to grow!

Results

And there you have it, you have made a small vegetable garden in eggshells :-)

It's an easy DIY that I tested with my kindergarten students : the children watched them with enthusiasm.

They were very proud to bring them home (for Mother's Day for example) before harvesting herbs to put in all their dishes.

Chives and mint grow particularly well.

And this activity is perfect if the weather is not good for playing outside.
