Luckily, a carpenter friend told me about his easy trick for making holes that are always straight.
To make sure you make a perfectly straight hole with your drill, the sure-fire trick is to use two pieces of wood.
It's easy, watch:
What you need
- two pieces of wood
- nails
- a hammer
How to do
1. Take two pieces of wood.
2. Position the two pieces of wood together at a right angle.
3. Secure them with the nails.
4. Then position the bit in the corner.
5. Drill.
Results
And there you have it, you made a perfectly straight hole with your drill :-)
Admire the result! Simple, practical and efficient, isn't it?
Note:
The two pieces should make a true right angle.
It is important that the angle is straight, otherwise the trick will not work.
