Coronavirus: How to Clean and Disinfect Your Remote Controls.
Just like smartphones, remote controls are one of the dirtiest things in the house ...
Why ? Because everyone touches them with hands that are not always very clean.
And right now with the coronavirus around, you better be careful!
Especially since no one thinks about cleaning them. Result, the remote controls all become sticky ... Yuck!
Fortunately, there is a simple and effective trick to cleaning and disinfecting the sticky remote control and its buttons.
The trick is to pass a cloth soaked in vinegar water over it :
What you need
- White vinegar
- water
- cloth
- Q-tip
- bowl
How to do
1. Remove the batteries from the remote control.
2. In the bowl, pour half of white vinegar and half of water.
3. Soak the cloth in the mixture and wring it out well.
4. Wipe the cloth all over the remote.
5. Soak the cotton swab in the same solution.
6. Clean around each pimple with the Cotton Swab.
7. Dry the device with a clean, dry cloth.
8. Replace the batteries.
Results
And There you go ! Your remote control is now impeccable and disinfected :-)
Easy, fast and efficient, isn't it?
No more greasy and sticky zappet and the viruses lying around!
Do not wet the device too much (damp cloth) to avoid damaging the electronic circuits.
If you put too much liquid in the battery compartment, immediately wipe it off with a dry cloth.
This trick works for all Freebox, Orange, Apple TV or DVD player remote controls ...
... but also the remote controls of the connected house: roller shutters, air conditioning or gate.
Why does it work?
The white vinegar degreases and sanitizes the soiled surface of the remote control box.
