The solution: sulfur
To scare away the vermin, nothing like a few matches well placed in the flower pots, the side with the sulfur buried in the ground.
But be careful: don't put more than 4 or 5 matches, that's more than enough.
After a few waterings, the water will help the sulfurto spread in the earth, and then there, the white grubs will not last a day.
