The Spring Honey Recipe with Dandelions.
It's spring, the dandelions are there, under our noses. Now is the time to pick them!
Rich in vitamins, minerals and trace elements, homemade dandelion flower honey is an economical and tasty alternative for breakfast.
I also eat dandelion in salads or cook it in multiple ways, like here to make honey.
This recipe is very simple and excellent for your health.
How to do
1. Go pick up your dandelions.
2. Once home, separate the flowers from the rest of the plant and put 500g in a bowl.
3. Rinse off with lukewarm water (possibly with a little vinegar).
4. Wring them out and roughly chop them.
5. Gather the other ingredients for the recipe: 500 g of water, 500 g of sugar, 1/2 sachet of vanilla sugar or 1/2 stick of vanilla and 1 lemon.
6. In a saucepan, put the 500 g of water, the dandelion flowers and the lemon previously cut into pieces (keeping the rind).
7. Then bring everything to the boil.
8. Once everything has boiled, turn off the heat, cover the pan and leave to cool for about twenty minutes.
9. Filter the mixture over another saucepan and add the vanilla sugar and the 500 g of sugar.
10. Cook this mixture over low heat this time for about an hour.
To find out if the honey is ready, place a few drops on a cold plate and see if the preparation is pearl. If so, it's over, the honey is ready.
11. If the honey is ready, then turn off the heat and begin to jar.
Results
And there you have it, you have made your own spring honey with dandelions :-)
It's not that complicated, is it? And you will see that it is very good.
