Results
There you go, your homemade body moisturizer is already ready :-)
Easy, fast and efficient, don't you think?
No more crocodile skin and your soft skin!
A real beneficial balm for your skin ready in 5 minutes.
All you have to do is use it as a classic nourishing cream on the body.
Since it is oil based, it is ultra hydrating, much more than water based lotions.
You don't need to put on a lot to have soft, well-hydrated skin.
It also has a much longer shelf life than other homemade body moisturizer recipes.
Indeed, all the ingredients that compose it are stable and it does not contain water.
Additional advice
- Mini glass jars or a metal box are great for storing your moisturizer. If not, you can grab an old body cream, clean it well, and reuse it. But beware of plastic containers: the mixture is hot enough when you pour it into the container and the plastic may melt.
- On the other hand, pump bottles are not suitable for this cream.
- Even if this cream keeps very well, use it within 6 months of its manufacture to benefit from all its moisturizing properties.
- This cream is also multifunctional. As it is really very hydrating and nourishing, it is also ideal for baby diaper rash, eczema and prevention of stretch marks.
Personalize your cream!
Now that you have mastered the basic recipe, have fun customizing your lotion to suit your skin type, condition, and desired scent.
There are endless variations, but here are my favorites:
- Baby lotion: infuse sweet almond oil with calendula and chamomile before making the lotion.
- Cream to relieve aches: add peppermint, wintergreen and ginger for sore muscles.
- Anti-aging face lotion: use argan oil and add essential oils of lavender and patchouli.
- Lavender and vanilla scented lotion - add a few drops of lavender and a little natural vanilla extract.
