The canvases are ugly and, often, the little animals that go with them are scary!
Kill them ? All the same not. Let’s not exaggerate. We are not savages, although we are afraid of them.
Here are 9 natural tips to scare them away from the house.
1. Remove the canvases

2. Chestnuts
When it's chestnut season, don't hesitate a second: spiders hate them. Open them in half and place them at the entrances of the house (front door, windows and other possible openings), as well as in the corners of each room.
3. White vinegar
Here, if you want to keep the spiders away, you have two solutions:
- Or spray white vinegar once a week around the door and windows.
- Or, as you discover in this tip, pass a cloth impregnated with white vinegar in the same places.
4. Lavender
They literally hate that too. And as you, on the contrary, you undoubtedly like this smell, use it.
A few small bunches or a few drops of lavender essential oil where they come in and, you'll see, they'll come out right away. This will prevent spiders from entering the house.
If you are out of lavender essential oil, you can find it here.
5. Alum stone
Lesser known trick, but just as effective against nasty bugs: alum stone. Dilute 25 g of alum stone powder in 250 ml of lukewarm water. Spray this mixture once a week near doors and windows.
And if you don't have any more, you can find some here.
6. Cedar
Do you know this magic tree? Spiders don't like it at all. Place pieces of it all over your house: potpourris on your furniture or in the corners of every room, not to mention window sills and dresser drawers.
7. Chestnut leaves
Another tree that spiders don't like: the chestnut tree. And more precisely, its leaves. On window sills and in the corners of rooms place chestnut leaves.
Change them when they are dry.
8. Tomato leaves
It's exactly the same principle as for chestnut leaves: place them on window sills and in the corners of your rooms.
Here too, the leaves must be changed as soon as they become dry.
9. Mint
Last plant hated by our enemies: mint. It too is to be placed in strategic places. Ideal for getting rid of spiders!
