Here's a simple trick to make your white vinegar smell great.

Ingredients

- White vinegar

- citrus fruits: lemon, orange, and lime

- glass jars with hermetically sealed lids

How to do

1. Wash the fruits and dry them.

2. With a peeler, remove the zest from the fruit. Take care to remove only the first shiny layer and not the white part inside the bark.

3. Fill the glass jars halfway with the citrus peels.

4. Using a funnel, carefully pour the white vinegar into the jar. Fill the jar almost to the top.

5. Leave to macerate in a cool, dark place for one to two weeks. This will allow the natural essential oils in the citrus peels to infuse into the vinegar.

6. Once the mixture is ready, filter the citrus peels with a funnel. Throw away the citrus peels or better recycle them with our tips here.

7. Pour the white citrus vinegar into a spray bottle or a closed bottle depending on how you want it to be used.

You will see, this time, your vinegar will have a pleasant smell and you will definitely not be able to do without it.

For this recipe, I used 3 citrus fruits: lemon, orange, and lime, but you can only use one at a time or make other combinations.

You can also use other citrus fruits such as citron, bergamot or mandarin ...

If possible, consider using organic fruit rather than fruit treated with pesticides.

You can also add a small label to the jar to remind you of the scent.
