1. TAKE CARE OF what the person is saying. Take advantage of the conversation to learn more about him or her.
2. Focus on THE POSITIVE THINGS IN LIFE. Avoid annoying topics, choose to talk about constructive things.
3. Have a real EXCHANGE of points of view and not a debate or worse an argument. Accept differences when you disagree on a topic.
4. RESPECT the person in front of you, without judging them, without criticizing them and without cutting them off. Respect his opinions and his way of seeing things.
5. PROMOTE your interlocutor. Give her a few compliments, but don't overdo it.
6. ACCEPT YOUR DIFFERENCES and turn the conversation around what you have in common.
7. Be authentic. Don't pretend. Do not hesitate to share your ideas with your interlocutor.
8. Practice the 50-50. Don't monopolize the conversation. But at the same time, don't hesitate to express your ideas. Try to be fair in everyone's speaking time.
