The 12 Secrets of People Who ALWAYS Have a Nickel House.

We all have a friend who always has a perfect house ...

Even arriving unexpectedly, it is always so tidy!

Maybe you are one of those people?

Well, I'll give you a little secret: I'm also part of it.

Not because I'm a household obsessive and I clean my house from top to bottom every day ...

... but because I took small habits in my daily life so that cleaning is never a chore.

12 secrets to having a well-organized home

Do you want the secret? here are the 12 secrets of people who still have a perfect home. Look :

1. They make their bed every day

make his bed every day to organize

I'll be honest, the only reason I make my bed every day is because I move around a lot at night.

Looks like a washing machine! As a result, every morning my sheets are completely rolled up.

Since I hate being stuck in the sheets and having my feet sticking out, I have made a habit of making my bed every day.

And I can tell you that it is a habit that I am very happy to have taken because now my room is much more pleasant to look at.

2. They use a vacuum cleaner

vacuum efficiently

If you have pets or children and you don't use a vacuum cleaner, that means you're wasting a lot of time cleaning!

Whenever you take the vacuum out, use the soft brushes that attach to the end of the hose.

This allows you to suck in every corner. Yes everywhere: the nightstand, the curtains, the lamps, the shelves, the mirrors, the window sills, the television, the coffee tables ...

Humans and animals leave hair and fur all over the house. And the best way to remove them is to vacuum them up with a vacuum cleaner.

It is much simpler and more efficient than with a dust cloth which only moves the dust elsewhere.

If you don't have a vacuum cleaner at home yet, I recommend the one I have at home and it works really well.

3. They empty the dishwasher in the morning

empty the dishwasher every day

I don't get up earlier in the morning, but I still manage to find 5 minutes to empty the dishwasher.

It's one less thing to do when I get home at night.

And that gives me more time to cook dinner and take care of the kids.

4. They do laundry on set days

do laundry on a weekday

At home, there are four of us: my husband, my 2 children and me.

To make the laundry chore easier, I do it on set days. Me, I chose Wednesday evening and Sunday late afternoon.

That way, I never forget to do it and I don't end up with a mountain to do all at once.

And in addition, I regularly use the 15 tips listed here. It saves me a lot of time with each wash.

5. They clean the fridge once a week

wash the fridge before filling it

I'm not talking about a big, thorough cleaning that you can do once a month by following these tips, but just a light and regular cleaning.

To do this, before filling your fridge when you come back from shopping, first throw away anything that is no longer edible, looking at the expiration dates.

Then, wipe the shelves with white vinegar with a sponge to wipe away smudges and drips.

This prevents mold from setting in and it makes it easy to keep a clean fridge.

6. They use baskets and boxes

put baskets to organize everything in the house

Baskets and boxes are a great way to organize home belongings.

For example, I put a small basket next to the front door to store the keys.

It avoids losing them and looking for them just before leaving the house!

And it also works to organize the inside of drawers like here.

I also put a lot of things in magazine racks.

7. They don't procrastinate

do things without procrastinating

Did we just deliver a package to you today? Now, without waiting, take the content out, put it away, throw out the bubble wrap, flatten the cardboard and put it for recycling.

Gone are the days of piling up things and the mess that piles up in the house.

It's a very simple trick but it works really well to prevent it from becoming unmanageable at home.

8. They clean the kitchen at the same time as they cook

clean the kitchen every time

It might sound obvious, but people who have great homes are also well-organized people when it comes to cooking.

They don't let stains and grime set in!

When they cook chicken in the oven, for example, they take the opportunity to clean the cutting board, wash the utensils and store all the ingredients used to season the dish.

When the oven timer rings, the kitchen is pretty much clean already!

All they have to do is go through the oven for a nickel.

9. They do a little tidying up before going to sleep

tidy up the living room every evening

Fold the blanket on the sofa, put the cushions back on and put away the shoes the kids threw on their way home.

When you wake up the next day, the house will be much cleaner and more pleasant to live in.

This will help you start the day in a good mood and without the stress of having to clean up as soon as you get up. Give it a try and you will see the difference with a messy house.

10. They plan ahead

plan race on your phone

Organized people often have a shopping list on their smartphone that is shared with the rest of the family.

This way, as the items run out in the fridge, each member of the family can add whatever products they want to the list.

What does this have to do with a clean house? Well, generally speaking, when you are organized, everything becomes easier to manage.

In particular, this avoids duplicate product purchases and missing products when preparing dinner.

All of these little details save time in keeping a house clean and organized.

prepare lunch in advance

Preparing your lunch the night before, before going to bed, is certainly the best way to get ahead of your day.

You will see, it is immediately much less stress in the morning! Not to mention the savings you will make.

With a little organization, you will be able to prepare your lunch by making dinner the day before.

That way, no need to clean your kitchen again the next morning!

And, no more salad dressing exploding on the tiles at 6 am because it's racing. Everything is already ready!

12. They focus on one room at a time

tidy up your house room by room

Every 2 weeks, choose a room or area to clean thoroughly.

Clean and vacuum baseboards, doors and curtains, wash windows, dust off knick-knacks, etc.

Just doing 1 piece at a time is a lot more motivating and less scary to do.

Not to mention the fact that you will be much more productive because your goal is much more achievable than cleaning the ENTIRE house in 1 day.
