Laundry that Paints: Grandmother's Trick For Fixing Colors.

Do your clothes have an annoying tendency to rub off?

I no longer count the T-shirts and sweatshirts that have rubbed off in the machine ...

The result ? Not only do the clothes fade, but very often the colors spread on other clothes.

Luckily my grandmother gave me a very effective tip to prevent clothes from fading in the wash.

The economical trick that works for fixing colors is soaking the vinegar in a little white vinegar. Look :

White vinegar in a basin to prevent the colored laundry from rubbing off in the washing on the clothes

How to do

1. Fill a basin with lukewarm water.

2. Pour in a glass of white vinegar.

3. Soak the discolored garment in it for an hour or two.

4. Stir occasionally.

5. Rinse the laundry in cold water.

6. Put it back to soak in cold water.

7. If the water becomes colored again, add a glass of white vinegar.

8. Leave to soak for an hour again.

9. Rinse it off with cold water.

Results

And there you have it, the clothes will no longer rub off in your machine :-)

White vinegar has the virtue of to stare the colors, as if by magic.

Goodbye pink socks!

Simple, practical and efficient, isn't it?

No more clothes that rub off on themselves or on white laundry in the wash!

Bonus tip

And that's not all: white vinegar is a powerful stain remover.

So if it's already too late and your clothes have been damaged, you can still get them back by soaking them. 30 mins in a basin filled with 4 l of water and 250 ml of vinegar . A real miracle product!

That's how I got pink socks, sky blue underwear, khaki T-shirts ...

In summary

In prevention or in healing, trust white vinegar. Soak your clothes in the water and vinegar.

Then do your laundry normally. As a precaution, I only put on one garment at a time, or several of the same color.
